A Message from the PS 84 PTA  The
PTA works with the administration of PS 84 and grant-giving foundations
to create an enriched educational environment. The PTA includes the
elected Executive Committee and the school community at
large, and is visible also through the efforts of ten (at present)
committees, which are self-directed and take on specific projects. The
Garden Committee, for instance, is working in conjunction with Columbia University's
Department of Landscape Design to renovate our rooftop space. The TA
Committee (Teaching Assistants) is in its nascent stage, and will
require leadership to keep teaching support in the kindergarten and 1st
grade classrooms. Fundraising collaborates on events like the Cabaret
Night and Spring Fair, which have supported re-opening the school
library, and enrichment programs through, among others, Wave Hill, the Intrepid, and the NYC
Center for Space Science Education. To help with the PTA's efforts, please donate or join a committee. PS 84 Rummage Sale Success! This past weekend our PTA had it's 2nd Annual Rummage Sale!
