The PTA Executive Board is the organization's governing body and the PTA elects its parent members each year in early June. The Board is made up of Officers, which are the Co-Presidents, Vice President, Co-Secretaries, and Co-Treasurers. The PTA is governed by Bylaws. Each year, the Executive Board proposes the annual PTA budget and presents it to the PTA membership to approve. Each member of the Executive Board helps run the fundraising activities of the PTA and also helps to recruit and welcome volunteers. President: Jean Moreland and Steuart Osha
- Provides leadership for the PTA and encourages participation in all parent and school activities
- Meets with the principal and parent coordinator to discuss parent involvement issues
- Meets regularly with the Executive Board members to plan the agenda for PTA meetings
- Appoints chairpersons of committees and oversees all committees except the nominating committee
- Is a member of the school leadership team, attends OFEA professional development sessions and meetings of the region/district presidents’ council
Vice-President: Haiman Cai- Assists the President
- Takes on the President’s duties in his/her absence or at his/her request
- Oversees all committees except the nominating committee
SecretaryThe position of secretary may be divided as outlined below, or both positions may be held by the same person. Recording Secretary: Laura Moustakerski- Keeps a written record of meeting minutes, motions, and votes
- Distributes meeting minutes to the PTA membership monthly
Corresponding Secretary: Sophie Miller - Oversees and assists with communicating PTA events to the school community
- Keeps signed copies of the bylaws with the latest amendments on file in the principal’s office
Treasurer: Nicolas Quairel and Victoria Koppel- Is responsible for all financial affairs and funds of the Association, and maintains an updated record of all income and expenditures
- Provides financial reports at all regularly scheduled PTA meetings, as well as the January 31st interim and June annual financial accounting reports
- Provides financial records for viewing by members upon request and for audit
- Chairs the Budget committee

Each grade has a Grade Representative or Co-Representatives. Each Grade Representative must have a child in the grade he or she represents. Grade Representatives may only represent one grade during any school year. (Nomination and election of Kindergarten Grade Representative occurs in September.)
Grade Representatives:
- Help achieve effective communication among
specific grades at P.S. 84, the Administration, and the Executive Board
- Act as a resource for parents in their grade
- Participate in the monthly PTA Executive Board meeting
- Schedule meetings among parents and members of the administration and faculty as needed
- Facilitate grade-wide functions (for example, 5th grade graduation and trip)
